Performs manual and complex shipping, receiving, packing and warehouse duties. Prepares related documentation and maintains files/records. Engages with customers in the warehouse department or by phone. ESSENTIAL FUCNTIONS Unloads trucks with incoming and outgoing materials. Maintains inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking and recording materials and supplies. Recognizes damaged product during the warehousing process and takes the appropriate action when discovered. Responds to material requests from internal customers. Responsible and accountable for receipt, storage, and handling of hazardous materials. Cycle counts inventory as needed. Advance skills on a powered industrial truck such as but not limited to forklifts or cherry pickers. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Five years of warehouse experience is required. Solid verbal communication and listening skills. Must be dependable and work well in a team environment. Ability to operate materials handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handler and hand trucks. Prior experience tracking and updating information in an ERP system is desired. *High School Diploma or GED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Ability to use hand/power tools and other equipment. Ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically. Ability to follow safety policies and procedures. Ability to read and understand written work instructions. Ability to collect, receive, store, select, transport and ship materials, supplies, and/or equipment. Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.
