Roles & Responsibilities
  • Expertise in the cloud compatible DBMS - Oracle / MS SQL
  • Ability to provision and configure database instances in the cloud environment, including selecting the appropriate database type, storage, and network settings.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, security groups, and network peering, to ensure secure and performant communication between database instances and other services.
  • Proficiency in using automation tools and Infrastructure as Code frameworks (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform) to provision and manage cloud database resources.
  • Knowledge of various backup and recovery methods to ensure data is protected and can be restored in case of data loss or system failure
