Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Buyer is responsible for procuring materials, components and supplies needed to insure uninterrupted production and minimal inventory levels.

Essential Specific Job Duties:

* Keeps abreast of changes, developments and new products in his/her area of responsibility and advises management of potential applicability.* Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet the company's procurement objectives and budgetary targets.* Monitors weekly report on a continuous basis and purchases the right product, at the right price, of the right quality and in the right amount.* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships based on quality, price, and reliability.* Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQ/RFP generation, bid evaluation, supplier selection, and contract administration.* Creates purchase orders and transmits them to vendors.* Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.* Analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and logistics, to align procurement activities with operational requirements and project timelines.* Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements, and generate reports to track key performance metrics and KPIs.* Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management to drive innovation and competitiveness.
