This includes establishing strategies to standardize and facilitate effective management of cost, operational excellence, safety, regulatory assurance, compliance, mechanical integrity, and maintenance programs.As such, the CE Maintenance Engineer is focused on maintenance related to Customer Engineering supply systems and is responsible for establishing and supporting programs and strategies that are in conformity with regulations and safe practices. The CE Maintenance Engineer will also analyze programs in place, identify improvement opportunities and will be assigned specific improvement projects within Maintenance or in other areas supported by the Strategy and Work Process team.The CE maintenance Engineering position offers an excellent opportunity for career development and practical maintenance engineering experience.Principal Accountabilities:Actively participate in Air Products' Basic Safety Program to drive safety performance to zero incidentsManage the North American Process Safety Relief Valve change-out program for Customer Engineering systems including tracking, assurance, performing calculations, confirming materials, and EMOC initiation through closureOwnership of the Pressure Vessel registration and inspection program, including the relationship with a 3rd party inspection companyServe as a member of the Maintenance Helpline and a key maintenance contact for technicians, AMMs, and the Equipment Support Team (EST)Become a subject matter expert for maintenance checklists, reporting, and process compliance within the field service management (FSM) platform and isolations requiring review (IRR) toolCreate and maintain maintenance procedures, bulletins, JSAs (Job Safety Analysis), standard IRRs, and associated training materialsFacilitate discussions, follow through on work you're leading, and host training sessions as needed for programs of responsibilityLead communicator for maintenance field teams, AMMs, schedulers, and EST for FSM outages/updates and maintenance work processes changes and updatesParticipate in regular meetings with leadership to provide updates, raise issues and propose solutions for maintenance itemsDrive cost reduction in maintenance spend by finding opportunities and driving to resolution. Prioritize cost reduction initiatives and identify specific continuous improvement projects to completeDimensions:Scope of Support: Over 10,000 customers with cryogenic liquid and bulk gas systems spread across 4 sub regions in North America.Technical Complexity: This position requires knowledge of Customer Engineering including full spectrum of cryogenic and gaseous storage and delivery systems, knowledge of applicable laws, maintenance associated processes, knowledge of project, construction and maintenance activities.Financial Impact: This role has direct impact on the maintenance costs of NA Customer Engineering with opportunities to reduce costs or increase revenue based on work process improvement projects and use of more efficient work processes and technology.Supply Chain Impact: This position has some customer contact, mainly via communication with technicians while on customer sites, but sometimes directly with customer representatives and commercial unitRecommended Skills and Experience:Mechanical or chemical engineering bachelor degree and 3+ years of work experience preferredExcellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills to interact and collaborate with various fields located in multiple geographies internally and externallyInitiative in learning and implementing new methods, concepts and/or technologiesDetail oriented with strong project management, organizational, and time management skillsSelf-starter and results focused with strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through in a dynamic work environmentStrong analytical and technical capabilities including an understanding of the process technologies employed in Customer EngineeringAdapts easily to change and shifting prioritiesPrevious customer focus and interactions experienceStrong P&L and 4S culture mentalityExperience and knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Standards with a demonstrated commitment to SafetyWe are the world's largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
