QA/QC Inspector-Electrical Mechanical Service, Field Operations San Antonio, TX ID: 4385 Full-Time/Regular Position Summary Develop and implement Brandt's quality control/quality assurance program. Plan, coordinate and inspect construction-related processes and materials to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards. What You'll Do: 1. Conduct regular walk-through inspections on Brandt construction sites and/or fabrication facilities. 2. Evaluate and ensure conformance and compliance with contractual specifications, government regulations, and Brandt and OSHA safety requirements. 3. Inspect manufactured products, on-site materials/equipment and installation processes to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards. 4. Document and communicate inspection results. Identify and recommend solutions for non-compliant situations. Follow through to ensure 100% compliance and conformance. 5. Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures required of each jobsite. 6. Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities. Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for worker. 7. Assist with determining the necessary installation technique(s). 8. Develop and implement job-specific QA/QC program prior to each project start-up. Schedule and attend all project coordination meetings. 9. Provide QA/QC feedback for each phase of the project. 10. Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for workers. Verify that all contractual and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated. 11. Assess product, compliance, or operational risks. 12. Assist with the development of risk management strategies. Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards. 13. Ensure the maintenance and submittal of appropriate and timely compliance reports, as contractually required. 14. Maintain logs and supplemental records with photographs. 15. Discuss violations and potential stop-work orders with project management and supervision. 16. Explain regulations and recommend rectification. Train, direct and/or oversee subcontractor compliance as necessary. 17. Perform additional assignments as requested/needed. What You'll Need To Be Successful: High school degree or equivalent; some advanced education and technical training highly desirable Extensive (5-8 years) craft and/or construction management experience. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, processes, and methods) Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire) Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems before major difficulties develop Outstanding scheduling and auditing skills Solid MS Office skills and ability/desire to learn new software Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills Employment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions on any jobsite or from working with any of Brandt's partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc. What You Bring To The Table: OSHA-30 Certification YOU Matter The Brandt Companies were created under the leadership of Barry Moore and Mark Zilbermann in an ever-expanding quest to provide our clients with on-time, in-budget construction service, complete commissioning assistance, and long-term facilities maintenance.
