Industrial Fabrication and Machining Planner/Estimator

Custom Engineering is seeking a skilled and meticulous Industrial Fabrication and Machining Planner/Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless production of high-quality, complex precision parts, crucial for the aviation and defense industries. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in CNC machining, welding, and fabrication processes, combined with the ability to efficiently estimate costs and plan production workflows. Review and interpret customer specifications and blueprints to accurately estimate material, labor, and fabrication costs. Plan and schedule manufacturing processes to optimize production and ensure timely delivery of parts. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to determine the most cost-effective and efficient production methods. Prepare detailed reports and cost analyses for management review, aiding strategic decision-making and bidding processes. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure compliance with specifications and adjustments in project estimates as necessary. Develop and maintain a database of product and process information to streamline the planning and estimation processes. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Strong understanding of CNC operations, welding techniques, and fabrication methods. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to perform precise calculations. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. Strong organizational and project management skills. Effective communication abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
