This position is responsible for using metal components to fabricate a variety of equipment and products. Junior Welders prepare parts for builders and clean finished products before shipment. Junior Welders are assigned to a specific area in the manufacturing plant but may also work with other departments. Welders must be able to understand and work with build documents and basic drawings for fabrication. A Signing and Retention Bonus of $3,250 is offered with this roleEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTIG weld thin gauge stainless steel sheet metal components together to fabricate restaurant equipment.Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.Work with build documents and basic drawings.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Clean finished products.Deburr and silicon materials.Peel paper.Other duties as required.Requirements:High-school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of proper welding techniques and quality control procedures, including TIG welding.Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools.Ability to read a tape measurer accurately to 1/16th of an inch.Ability to add and subtract fractions.Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Organized; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work.Punctual; consistently on time and completes work in a timely manner.Capable of working independently and/or as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit; asks for and offers help when needed.Observes and follows safety procedures; promotes a harassment-free environment.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
