Our client is looking for an experiencedFood and Beverage Manager to join their full-service, stay-hotel, restaurant and conference center in the Greater Boston / 495 area.

JOB SUMMARY

The Food and Beverage Director oversees all food and beverage operations at the hotel and conference center. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure smooth operations, high-quality customer service, and profitable outcomes. You will be involved in everything from daily operations to staffing, inventory, budgeting, and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership

  • Manage daily food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, room service, and banquet/catering services.
  • Work alongside staff to ensure high standards of service and cleanliness.
  • Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all areas of food and beverage.

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, cooks, and banquet personnel.
  • Create work schedules to maintain adequate coverage while controlling labor costs.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Inventory and Supplies

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of food, beverages, and other supplies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and quality.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and implement cost-control measures.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and interact with guests to address any concerns or feedback.
  • Work with the team to create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase repeat business.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for the food and beverage department.
  • Monitor expenses and revenue, and implement strategies to achieve profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to promote food and beverage offerings and boost sales.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Several years of experience in food and beverage management, with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
