Full and Part Time Adult Psychiatrists

Adolescent/Adult Psychiatrist to provide medical and health services for all inpatients of Belmont, by coordinating medication administration, evaluations and mental health assessments. A preference will be considered for adult psychiatrists who are interested in seeing some older adolescents as well as Child & Adolescents psychiatrists interested in seeing some adult patients as needed. Responsibilities:

Summary:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.


Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
One or more years post graduate degree practice preferred.
Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:
Board certification in psychiatry
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
