**Description** *Position at MacAllister Rentals*

**Position Objective** Position is responsible for the operational management of Rental branches within a specific geographical area. The role will work closely with the Director and Operations Manager to provide support to branch management and their teams in effort to strive for operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. This role will assist in establishing goals for all assigned branches and coordinate and oversee broad sales efforts and business initiatives. This position will maintain and support health and safety, training and development and OHSA & DOT compliances. **Essential Position Duties** *

Responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve branch operations. *

Develop and motivate Branch Managers, Service Managers, and other store leadership. Establish annual objectives, relay expectations, and monitor progress. *

Provide daily coaching and support to Branch Managers and their teams. This includes providing input on workloads, adherence to safety standards and procedures, customer satisfaction, and all matters pertaining to Rental Services being profitable. *

Responsible for overall profitability of assigned branches, which include those components such as sales, gross margin, payroll, expenses, etc. Assist with establishing annual financial goals. *

Perform regular branch walk throughs or other audits, engage with employees, and provide feedback on the health of the branch. *

Ensure maximization of efficiencies and utilization of the Rental fleet. *

Consistently influence the team to make decisions that will improve the workplace, company, market share, and customer satisfaction, ensuring a balanced scorecard. *

Partner with the Regional Sales Managers to ensure the operation is supporting the sales team. *

Assist Operations Manager in identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share

and overall growth of the Rental business. *

Monitor and ensure all locations are adhering to company health and safety practices, and proper accident prevention training and safety programs are provided to employees *

Other related duties and projects assigned by Rental Services Operations Manager. **Supervisory Responsibilities** * Ensures compliance with established company policies and standards. Reviews and evaluates the

work and performance of reporting employees. Has significant input regarding hiring and disciplining employees. **Position Requirements** *

Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a Bachelors degree in business or finance preferred; equivalent work experience required. *

Broad Rental background achieved through 6+ years experience in various phases of the Rental business. *

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machines. *

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products as well as the ability to learn industry specific programs is required. *

Excellent overall managerial skills in the areas of communication, organization, judgment, team building, interpersonal skills and problem solving. *

Dedicated self-starter with the ability to work independently without the need for daily direct supervision and with a strong sense of urgency. *

A team player possessing the ability to professionally work with customers, vendors, peers, and co-workers as well as the ability to develop strong, long-term relationships. *
