RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pre-log samples from the start of the day, pickups from client sampling, and walk-ins
  • Unpack shipments and document receipt of samples.
  • Organize samples and record them temporarily on arrival.
  • Enter client data into LIMS. Recording client number, requested turn-around time, and payment information.
  • When available use the project for logging in client ID/Site, date/time collected, sample type, sample matrix, code for sampler, and logging test used to test groups
  • Sample Bottle numbering and bottle refrigeration
  • Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
  • Handle interactions with walk-in clients
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associated degree in science or an equivalent 2 years of environment laboratory experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work lab environment is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
