We are hiring a Procurement Associate to support the day-to-day procurement services programs for all departments in our Communities and corporate offices, while supporting the Procurement Help Desk, tickets and calls. This is a great opportunity for an individual with call center/help desk experience who wants to learn procurement platforms and software.

How you will make an impact
  • Supports the day-to-day procurement services programs including but not limited to: P-cards, Travel, Gift cards, DSSI, Cell phones, Document storage, Shipping, Printing, Office supplies, Postage machines, Pagers, Appliances, Rebates, Rental cars, Shredding, and Conferencing.
  • Supports the DSSI/e-commerce system and provides instruction for users, assisting staff with suggestions in finding products in DSSI.
  • Creates purchase order spreadsheets as requested.
  • Prepares reports as needed for the Procurement team and others when requested.
  • Monitors the Wireless Watchdog reports to ensure credits are received in a timely manner from Verizon Wireless for the return of cell phones
  • Educates others as needed about preferred vendors
  • Audits purchases for compliance.
  • Educates staff about P-card and Gift card programs. Conducts webinars as needed.
  • Communicates with communities regarding new vendors, changes in vendor delivery schedules, changes in manufacturers and other concerns.
  • Handles tickets and calls from the Procurement Help Desk and responds to questions/concerns within a timely manner.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience, $25 - 27 per hour.

What you will need
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred or a minimum of 4 years of previous experience working in a purchasing or call center/ help desk environment.
  • Experience in managing a purchase card program or a travel program such as Concur preferred
