Senior Technical Business Analyst JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Technical Business Analyst is responsible for collaboration with business partners to discover and develop functional and non-functional requirements for business-facing IT systems, and collaboration with technical teams to articulate and manage the requirements for design, construction, and implementation. This role will follow company best practices for requirements management and ensure that all requirements are reviewed and evaluated for fit and adequacy to produce the intended business results within stated project parameters.

Senior Technical Business Analyst ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):
* Identifies functional and non-functional requirements for off-the-shelf products, custom solutions, integrations between systems, and adjacent business processes.

* Facilitates collaboration between technical teams and company business lines for both customer-facing and internal systems and processes.

* Provides consulting services to business decision makers for the investigation and evaluation of ideas and approaches to solving business challenges and exploiting new opportunities.

* Analyzes and documents current manual and automated business processes and their business purpose, value chains, and dependencies.

* Evaluates the feasibility and alignment with established business practices, technology standards, and strategic plans of needs and requirements raised by internal and external customers for solution acquisition, development, or enhancement.

* Participates on project teams with multiple parties by tracking the identification, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of Requirements.

* Works closely with Project Managers to evaluate project scope changes and assess the impact on schedule, resource availability, cost, and quality.

* Works closely with tech/ops and dev/ops to transition solutions to production and ensure adoption.

* Works to develop the professional Business Analysis discipline by devising and implementing guidance for Requirements Management and project execution, and improving procedures for testing, training, deployment, operations, maintenance, and support.

* Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.

* Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements

Senior Technical Business Analyst REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
* Advanced knowledge of professional Business Analysis methodologies.

* Advanced knowledge of, and experience with, Enterprise-level applications and SAAS solutions.

* Excellent communication, critical thinking, negotiation, time project management skills

* Ability to be detail-oriented, self-directed, organized, and to adjust content and message based on audience.

* Ability to listen empathetically as well as to understand complex concepts and to analyze and solve challenging problems.

* Ability to acts with adaptability, flexibility, and skill to deal with ambiguity in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

* Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with vendors, team resources and stakeholders.

Equivalent Education/Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

* 5 years of experience in an IT Business Systems Analyst role.

* Experience in the financial services industry preferred.

* Certification in Business Analysis by a recognized authority is desirable.

* CAPM, PMP or other project management certifications is a plus but not required.

* Familiarity with agile Project Management methodologies, the SDLC, database design, data engineering, business analytics, DevOps, and APIs.

* Familiarity with SQL, Azure, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI or similar database, ETL, and analytics tools is a plus.

Senior Technical Business Analyst SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS:
Work involves dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information and the ability to work with escalated issues and difficult customers. Some travel may be required.
