Position Description: Under the direction of the Director of Political Field Operations, the Associate Director of Constituency Programs will be responsible for directing the implementation of statewide direct voter contact, engagement, education, and organizing campaigns. Essential Functions: Leadership: Actively participates in management meetings. Active thought partner in planning and creation of strategic initiatives within the PPAM team. Responsible for program outcomes and goals of the PPAM strategic plan. Works interdepartmentally within PPMI to identify and coordinate cross-departmental outreach opportunities. Responsible for reporting regularly on field plan and organizing outcomes. Works with Government Relations team to further cross-functional objectives. Maintains currency in current legislative and electoral news. Will oversee the Patient Advocacy Program, the Black Organizing Program, the Raiz Program, and the Generation Action Program, each staffed by one organizer. Field Management: Directs the implementation of statewide direct voter contact, engagement, education, and organizing campaigns. Aligns field organizing goals to PPAM’s strategic goals. Develops and implements a metrics-based system for defining field organizing goals and reporting outcomes. Assigns priorities for program organizers. Responsible for directing activities of supporters, volunteers, and engagement groups. Builds, implements, and executes grassroots issue education campaigns. Responsible for building, implementing, and executing electoral ground campaign activities in target districts. Engagement and Outreach: Actively participates in identifying tabling, volunteer recruitment, and public speaking opportunities. Establishes, maintains, and expands relationships with state and local coalitions and allied organizations. Other Responsibilities: Maintains and applies up-to-date knowledge of political and legislative issues impacting the organization. Maintain relationships with PPFA and other vendors. Interpret program effectiveness and recommend changes to policies and procedures. Reviews progress of assignments with PPAM senior management. This position requires significant contact with the public. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: Advanced concepts in community outreach activities and organizing campaigns. Political issues impacting the organization. Sexual and reproductive health issues relevant to the organization. The reproductive justice framework. Skills in: Advanced Project Management. Using required software applications. Data gathering and analytic techniques. Meeting facilitation and process management. Ability to: Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives. Facilitate meetings effectively. Incorporate strategic goals into tactics. Work under pressure on multiple projects. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Travel and accept a flexible work schedule.
