Paradyme Management is an IT consulting firm with a current need for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team supporting one of our government contracts with the US Census Bureau. This role is part of our Tech Refresh Development team responsible for re?engineering applications supporting the Census Financial System. Responsibilities Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies Documents business requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates business specifications Functions as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise Assists in providing meeting coordination and support, developing meeting minutes, and assisting with project documentation Support implementations, upgrades, migrations, and change requests Create user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team Qualifications / Skills Must have 5+ years experience capturing and documenting business requirements Experience in performing this role for IT based systems supporting business Experience in the design, development and testing of systems requirements Experience writing and reviewing business processes, functional design and working among development team Ability to write clear; concise and effective correspondence; requirements documents; procedures and acceptance criteria in accordance with policies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with open sourced webservices environments (Java, REST, and SOAP) Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of prior experience as a business analyst (required) Experience in government consulting (preferred) Physical Requirements Sedentary work Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day. May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted. Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes. Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
