Responsibilities:
Perform financial accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Manage cost accounting processes, including the calculation and allocation of variable and fixed costs, to accurately reflect the cost of goods sold and inventory valuation.
Oversee inventory accounting activities, including reconciling inventory records, performing inventory valuation, and ensuring proper accounting treatment for inventory-related transactions.
Support internal reporting and analysis efforts by preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to management to facilitate decision-making.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting and inventory management processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls related to financial accounting and inventory management activities.
Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors during audit engagements.
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing accounting expertise and insights to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
5+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing sector required.
The ability to reconcile large volumes of data is critical.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to GAAP.
Highly proficient with accounting software.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
