Insight Global is looking for Electrical Controls Engineer to work in a hybrid model setting and to sit around the Warren, MI area. The typical day to day of this engineer will be do work to develop hardware and software for this clients end customer. This engineer will need to be able to perform the design of control systems from start to finish as well as do the field start up "system integration in electrical controls" Industry for manufacturing. The responsibilities of this engineer also include carrying system design from cradle to integration, reviewing the scope of work against the system layout, navigating through issues, figuring out panel placements and conveyor controls, then working through the hardware design with low calculations. The candidate will not be required to design the specs in autocad but would be a plus if they had autocad design experience to reference. The software experience necessary for this job is programming PLC code, block working with lateral logix, overseeing HMI, developing the screens and software, productivity count. There is 25% travel required and they are starting to commission a virtual commission team to set up various machines remotely. The right candidate will be offered an amazing role at a friendly company alongside a team of already existing talented engineering. * AutoCAD or Eplan Skills (2d Design work) * Design experience for Ford Motor Standard (Any certifications to sign off on safety programs/ etc. Gvoss/Next Gen) * Previous Experience with PanelView Plus for HMI and previous experience with Powerflex (525,755, 70) and SEW Multifit Technology* Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering & Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience with a technical degree * 3-5 years of "industry" experience working for a systems integrator (must include control panel and circuit design utilizing PLC's such as Rockwell or Siemens) * Hardware Design including Power calculations with (24v, 120v, and 480v) along with knowledge of national electric code * Processor experience within Allen Bradley/Rockwell (RSLogix 5, Studio 5000, RS Networx for EtherNet IP, DriveExecutive, DriveExplorer, RSView Studio, FactoryTalk)
