Description
Chick-fil-A South Plainfield's Catering Assistant oversees our on-site food sales at our two Amazon affiliates four days a week and will assist with other catering needs of the restaurant on a daily basis. The catering assistant will also extend exceptional hospitality to our catering customers to ensure they have a remarkable experience. Additionally, the successful candidate will work in the operations of the restaurant as needed. The catering manager reports directly to the Director of marketing and Catering.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee the catering needs of the restaurant on a daily basis
  • Deliver Chick-fil-A Hospitality to all our catering customers
  • Coordinate food prep needs for various catering orders for all catering customers
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure food is made to our quality standards
  • Take and full-fill catering orders, expedite, manage and make deliveries
  • Package and prepare food with precision and care
  • Deliver catering orders to customers and local businesses in our Chick-fil-A catering van
  • Solicit and increase catering sales from nearby businesses
  • Manage food deliveries to partnering business in the area
  • Work with major clients such as Rutgers and Home Depot to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and to guests' satisfaction
  • Candidate will work in operations of the restaurant when needed
  • Establish relationships in the community to grow sales via catering or onsite delivery

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree or above in a Marketing and/or other business major or prior experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of Marketing and Community relations
  • Demonstrated strong leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • High standards in the area of operational excellence, quality, and customer service
  • Positive attitude
