As a Lead Solution Architect within our Data & AI Practice, you will leverage a client-centric approach to understand our clients challenges and opportunities to deliver solutions and services that drive high-value business outcomes. You will engage in solutioning and support on strategic opportunities, intervene in high-risk complex deliveries, and contribute to shape the strategic direction using data platforms, reporting, self-service analytics, real time intelligence and AI engineering. Responsibilities As an architect assigned to a client project, work closely with delivery teams and client stakeholders to provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts. Play a key role in Avanade's sales process by creating solutions that innovate, inspire and win new business. Shape high-level design, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other subject matter experts. Provide coaching and mentoring to motivate and inspire junior colleagues within your team and across the organization. Translate complex technical concepts and solutions into audience-appropriate language and value-based outcomes for senior business stakeholders, technology leaders, and internal sales teams. Engage in early conversations with clients and/or sales teams to support origination, deal qualification, requirements capture, and solutioning; build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor; represent solutions in deal reviews and client presentations and negotiations. Collaborate with the wider Data & AI leadership to shape current and future offerings, accelerators, and background IP to support GTM activities. Drive the evolution of best practices and methodologies for AI development, including data management, model training, fine-tuning, and deployment. Lead the development of data and analytics platforms, real-time intelligence and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure Data Services, Fabric and Databricks. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Data & AI technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into solutions. Identify and execute cross-industry solutions-at-scale for your region, including Data Migration, Automation Migration, Visualization/Reporting and Core Data Platform Modernization and Governance. Drive measurable and sustained growth across the Data & AI Solution Area. Integrate Data & AI into other Global Solution Areas and go-to-market initiatives; drive strong managed services and multi-year engagements for Data & AI. Qualifications Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft and Databricks. Experience in Data, Applied Intelligence, Automation, IOT and related technologies. Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner ecosystem to ensure customer success. High energy and intent to help clients understand the fast-moving AI industry, product and service evolution. Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs of work involving the latest AI concepts, with a focus on scaling AI across enterprises. Deep understanding of responsible data platform and migration principles, practices and regulatory frameworks; ability to address risks while delivering impactful solutions. Capability in creating design artifacts and presenting them for approval at architectural forums with multi-disciplined stakeholders from engineering to senior client executives. In-depth understanding of modern Data & AI capabilities such as structured and unstructured data analysis, streaming data, IoT, AI, GenAI and related analytics fields. Experience in designing and delivering large-scale Data Platform solutions using approaches such as Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Fabric, Cloud Scale Analytics; design for performance, security and reliability. Comfortable actively engaging and leading sales and business development opportunities with clients. Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to lead remote teams and influence outcomes. About You You are passionate about tech and engaging with and advising clients.
