Job Description

The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator supports the HSE Manager in implementing environmental, health, and safety programs within the organization. The HSE Coordinator assists in ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining safety documentation, and promoting a culture of safety among employees.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in providing training to employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses by gathering information and assisting in identifying root causes.
  • Collaborate with HSE team members and cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and promote continuous improvement.
  • Assist in maintaining records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
  • Stay informed about changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices and support organizational compliance efforts.
  • Support the HSE Coordinator as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and audits.
  • Assist in developing and communicating emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Contribute to promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a related field or environment preferred but not required.
