Job Summary

Receives and processes equipment purchase orders for new stores, remodels, conversions, special projects, and maintenance. Assists in purchasing equipment and maintains stocked items. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receives and processes purchase orders for retail store equipment and coordinates equipment deliveries. Assists in purchasing equipment for various facility services projects including, but not limited to, new stores, store remodels, and conversions. Works closely with the warehouse to maintain stocked items. Reviews plans to establish appropriate quantities of equipment to order. Verifies that plans are aligned with project scopes and budgets. Assists with maintaining and updating purchasing data and information in the financial software system. Verifies packing slips and invoices against purchase orders. Maintains current and organized filing system for purchase orders. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

. Basic knowledge of standard grocery retail equipment. Basic knowledge of purchasing and equipment logistics. Basic knowledge of the warehouse communications system

. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to determine purchase order quantities and product costs. Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with partners and vendors. Ability to comprehend and interpret information. Ability to use knives/box cutters. Ability to operate a fork lift/pallet jack. Ability to use precision hand tools. Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems. Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays. May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy. Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible. Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor. Education, Experience, and Qualifications

High school Diploma or GED and 1 or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required. Associate’s degree in related field preferred. Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy . Physical Demands

Continuously required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus. Frequently required to sit for long periods of time. Work is generally performed in an office environment with occasional visits to retail stores. Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather. Quiet to moderate noise level.
