About the Senior Accountant Position:

Essential Functions for the Senior Accountant:

• The Senior Accountant will prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights to management.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
• Coordinate and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Preferred Requirements for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
• Prior experience working in a CPA firm.
• The Senior Accountant should have proficiency in QuickBooks and tax software.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
