We seek a highly skilled and experienced Director of Surgery to lead our surgical department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in surgical practice, leadership, and management. As the Director of Surgery, you will oversee all surgical operations, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and foster a collaborative and innovative environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement surgical protocols, enhance operational efficiency, and drive quality improvement initiatives. This role demands exceptional clinical expertise, strategic vision, and a commitment to advancing surgical services within our organization. The Surgical Services Director holds accountability for planning, directing, and controlling the OR, PACU, SSU, PAT, Endoscopy Departments, and the ASC. This position assists in the achievement of the financial and operational objectives for departments. Tasks Has accountability for planning, directing, and controlling OR, PACU, SSU, Endoscope, and PAT Develop PI projects for specific units and report to Quality/Risk Management every quarter Assists in achieving the financial and operational objectives for the departments within the Surgical Services area. Displays effective communication and interpersonal skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, visitors, physicians, and department/hospital staff members. Computer skills are essential. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care. Degree of Supervision Required, Involves minimal guidance and direction by the Chief Nursing Officer. The Director of Surgical Services is expected to perform most job duties independently and by established departmental and hospital policies/procedures. Qualifications Oklahoma State Board of Nurse Registration licensure for Registered Nurses (Required) BLS certification (Required) Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program. Holds a bachelor's degree in nursing (Preferred) Three years experience in the OR with supervisory/management responsibilities (Required)
