  • Utilizes advanced engineering expertise for research, development, design, and evaluation of materials, components, assemblies, processes, or equipment.
  • Communicates design specifications effectively to support teams both verbally and in writing. Enhances the companys R&D capabilities.
  • Contributes to marketing and engineering specifications, feasibility studies, cost analysis, design reviews, risk assessments, and product testing.
  • Creates and executes detailed R&D plans to achieve project objectives.
  • Directs and coordinates project activities of support staff.
  • Develops prototypes and processes using existing resources or specifies necessary equipment. Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Constructs prototypes based on engineering instructions.
  • Submits patent disclosures.
  • Participates in animal studies.
  • Establishes effective communication within and across teams.

Experience:

  • 6+ years in medical device product development
  • Project management from concept to market release
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks/CAD, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software
  • Knowledge of medical device regulatory requirements
