We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer responsible for the full lifecycle of the design, implementation, testing, and optimization of radio frequency (RF) systems and components. This individual will be supporting a team in the product design phase, working to create automatic testing sets. They will need to understand each of the testing components well enough to generate software that will automatically send those signals from the machine to the product. The RF Engineer will perform detailed development work in the areas of Analog and RF transponders, receivers, and antennas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex RF-related issues.

Essential Job Functions:

1. RF system design, including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and related components.

2. Perform testing and validation of RF systems to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

3. Lead design efforts of test control apparatus and equipment.

4. Diagnose and troubleshoot RF-related issues, including interference, signal degradation, and other performance challenges.

5. Create and maintain detailed documentation of RF designs, configurations, and testing procedures.

6. Ensure all designs are completed on schedule and under budget, with a focus on manufacturability.

7. Interface with customers to resolve technical issues.

8. Develop detailed RF designs for receivers and transmitters at UHF, L-Band, S-Band, and C-Band.

9. Consult with cross-functional engineers for optimal product development.

10. Must be present at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time, with exceptions only for approved leave.

Other Job Functions:

1. Assist in training junior engineers.

2. Assist in the technical bid and proposal process.

3. Lead design reviews for both internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in RF system design and development.

3. Strong experience in testing and validation of RF systems.

4. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting RF-related issues.

5. Extensive knowledge of RF design principles and practices across various frequency bands.

6. Ability to create and maintain detailed RF documentation.

7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively in cross-functional teams.

8. Proficiency in relevant RF design and simulation tools.

9. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and considerations for RF designs.

The RF Engineer will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and testing of RF systems, contributing to the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

* BS in Engineering -- Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Hardware Engineering

* ATLEAST 6 years of experience

* RF System Design experience -> transmitters, receivers, antennas, circuit board, PCB, or other related components

* LabView, Test Stand, and MATLAB

* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose RF related issues
