At Lyterian Therapeutics, we are committed to developing medicines for patients in need by co-opting physiologically-relevant protein homeostatic mechanisms to regulate genetically-validated targets.

We are hiring a summer undergraduate intern in the Biophysics department.

In this group, you will work with our scientists to purify and characterize proteins and protein complexes relevant to our research. In addition, you may also help in establishing novel biophysical binding assays relevant to our protein degradation drug discovery platform and programs. This could involve using techniques such as surface plasmon resonance (SPR), Spectral Shift / TRIC, differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF), and Mass Photometry.

This will be a great learning experience for rising juniors and seniors, no matter which group you are a part of. If you have a preference for a particular department to join please let us know in your cover letter. Along with the other summer interns, you will experience a fast-paced and fun startup culture here at Lyterian.

Efficient time management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and passion for high-quality, translational science are essential.

Qualifications:

    • Rising junior or senior at a college/university on track to receive a BA/BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
    • Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting (includes coursework labs)
    • Experience in a research laboratory setting is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to synthesize and communicate scientific concepts
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Initiative and boldness to dive into a fast-paced new startup


$25 - $25 an hour
