Description

The House Supervisor, a registered nurse (RN), is a key member of the nursing leadership team and plays a critical role in managing hospital operations on a shift-by-shift basis. This position is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, coordinating patient admissions and transfers, and acting as a liaison among various departments under the supervision and direction of the Director. This position demands a professional with a strong background in nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The House Supervisor must adhere to the hospital's policies and procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Missouri or compact licensure.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association or preapproved provider.
  • TNCC and ESI certification is required but may be obtained within the first year of employment.
