Description

**Astronics AES in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Material Handler on First Shift:**

**Hours are Monday ~ Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm** **Or** **7:00am - 3:30pm** dependent on preference.

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Material Handler will manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor in relation to managing materials for the production line.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines

+ Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk.

+ Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)

+ Perform daily cycle counts

+ Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training

+ May drive a non-CDL box truck for deliveries

+ Other duties as assigned

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education/Experience:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)

**Technical Skills:**

+ Data base user interface and query software

+ Electronic mail software

+ Enterprise resource planning ERP software

+ Inventory management software

+ Spreadsheet software

+ Label making software

+ Materials requirements planning logistics and supply chain software

**Work Environment:**

+ Manufacturing environment

+ Time Pressure

+ Operating a forklift, pallet jack and/or manlift operator

+ Standing for long periods of time

+ Lifting heavy (typically 30 lbs) items

**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS**

+ As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.

+ An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.

**Salary is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour** dependant on experience.
