Essential responsibilities and dutiesStrategy and Business Development Director is responsible for driving business growth in line with Forvia's and FHS Division mid- and long-term goals and objectives by identifying, developing new business opportunities, and expanding the FHS NAO presence. She/he provides leadership to ensure the development and implementation of innovative product strategy to address regional customer priorities, government objectives and policies. The director manages existing partnerships, develops a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversees growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with the Company SP (Strategic Plan). The main missions of the role are:Customer Management and PartnershipsInterfaces with the customer ideally at Senior Level in Engineering, Purchasing and Program ManagementBuild long term relationships with key stake holders in the customer organizationPropose and develop strategic partnerships with customers and vendorsBusiness Strategy and DevelopmentAnalyses and understands the competitor's landscape: strengths and weaknessesIdentifies and develops new business opportunities.Defines the FHS strategic 5-year plan for North America. A clear vision of business evolution and the resources needed to achieve. Always confirming global and functional alignment.Strategic Account planning with mid- and long term vision and objectivesPrepares the list of targeted acquisitions to ensure order intake at or above targetDefines with the appropriate anticipation the acquisition tactics to beat the competition with satisfactory KPIs & contractual termsSupports pro-actively the selling of InnovationBuilds cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growthResearches and identifies new markets. Provides advice on product development and promotion strategiesIdentifies sponsorship and funding opportunities Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have/be:Bachelor or Masters in Business or Engineering 5-10 years of experience in Sales and Business Development in the Automotive industry with a successful track record with one or two Customers Fluent in English Strong negotiator with good interpersonal skillsBusiness international mindsetAccountable and results oriented- Get the things done Excellent leadership skills, being able to build successful teams Relationship managementStrategic planning skillsKnowledge of product and technology used in the sectorFinancial and business acumenExcellent presentation and communication skillsBig-picture thinking
