Investment Analyst

Northern Right Capital is a boutique US equity firm managing a concentrated, best ideas strategy in both a long / short and long-only format. The firm focused on small / mid cap companies, primarily in the TMT and Consumer sectors, and invests with a fundamentally driven approach and multi-year timeframe. We look for competitively advantaged, cash flow-generating businesses with hidden assets or improving fundamentals that are misunderstood by the market. As needed, we can create value through constructive engagement with management and boards.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our investment team as an analyst in our Darien, CT office. The analyst will work closely with the firms investment team, participating in all aspects of the investment process, including idea generation, fundamental company and industry research, extensive financial modeling, and preparation of investment memos and presentations. We believe this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play an integral role in a growing firm. The firm has a generalist mandate, but we are interested in adding an analyst with experience in the Consumer and/or TMT sectors.

Ideal candidates will have the following characteristics:

2+ years of analytical experience in investment banking, private equity, or buy- or sell-side equity research

A passion for fundamental investing and curiosity for understanding businesses and industries

A demonstrated history of personal and professional success

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and financial statement analysis

Intellectual honesty and integrity

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Unrelenting attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic

A good attitude. We are looking for someone who is hungry and humble
