Overview Designing, implementing, and delivering high quality software projects in Java, SQL/Oracle, J2EE and other Java technologies. Job Responsibilities Participate in detailed level in design, coding, code walk?through, peer code reviews and unit testing, system testing, UAT, demos, POCs, installation, and maintenance of software modules. Prepare software prototype, design documents, user interfaces per UX guidelines, test plans, test cases, release documents, and technical documentation. Document and demonstrate solutions with flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and clear, well?commented code. Ensure project tasks are completed within defined effort and timelines. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Write test cases and perform unit, system, and negative testing. Troubleshoot by analyzing logs and optimizing database queries. Improve operations through system analysis. Stay current with development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities and professional networks. Maintain confidentiality of operational information. Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, analyzing system flow, data usage, and work processes. Ensure Newgen quality processes are in place and followed. Desired Profile Application of technical knowledge, system analysis, and evaluation. Testing mindset: critical thinking, analytical abilities, problem?solving, willingness to learn, and suggesting process improvements. Computer Science graduate with 5?8 years of software development experience across diverse projects. Knowledge of current technology trends such as OOP, multi?tier development, component architecture, and web?based software. Understanding of system integration issues. Ability to gather and analyze data and draw logical conclusions. Proficiency in Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and related technologies. Strong coding skills and architectural knowledge. Clear thinking, flexibility, effective verbal and written communication, time management, confidence, adaptability, attention to detail, perseverance, discretion, analytical thinking, independent decision?making, and teamwork.
