POSITION PURPOSE:

To provide service of beverage and food in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Check and maintain proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during, and after shift.

2. Greet guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions, and snacks.

3. Take orders, recite selection of all call and premium brands as requested. This task will require memorization of all available drinks, beer, and taps.

4. Provide appropriate snack and garnish with all beverages.

5. Input orders into point of sale system in a timely fashion to inform bartender an order was made.

6. Maintain cleanliness of guest tables and assist with the bar area.

7. Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction.

8. Present the guest with the check promptly, thank them and invite them to return.

9. Perform all assigned side work and complete daily checklist.

10. Perform general cleaning tasks, use standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.

11. Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.

12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested e.g., special guest requests.

13. Suggest drink pairing with all menu items and educate guests on drinks.

14. Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.

2. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.

3. Ability to read, sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, speak and write the English language to communicate with the guest, and take orders.

4. Ability to remember, recites, and promotes a variety of menu items.

5. Ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.

6. Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.

7. Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift.

8. Work as a team player.

9. Ability to remain motivated during busy and slow periods within shift.

10. Cash handling and self-banking position, requires ability to maintain funds, and accurately count back change.

11. Ability to operate a keyboard and learn point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check

12. No prior experience required.

13. Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. TIPS (or similar certification) and Bartender certification preferred.

14. Required memorization of all table numbers.
