Job Summary

A trainer will train designated employees in the specified area. Example: Assembly Lines, Fabrication, and/or other areas of the manufacturing plant

This position is expected to perform a variety of related tasks when training duties are not in demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to work safely, be dedicated to performing quality work, and be productive.
  • Read and determine standard work needed for performing duties.
  • Teach the safe operation of all equipment to produce desired results
  • Develop and adhere to cohesive training plans for designated employees.
  • Establish procedures to guide production relating to specification restrictions, and material processes.
  • Continually evaluate the processes and procedures to develop/modify existing work instructions to be safer and more efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot problems and determine corrective actions.
  • Must be able to perform the task assigned within the assembly area.
  • Periodically check certified operators for process compliance (Safety & Quality)
  • Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety and model safe behavior.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Work scheduled hours including overtime as well as possible swing shifts as needed
  • Perform safety, health, and environmental inspections; inspect equipment and lead special projects as assigned. Investigate and resolve safety issues.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) is required.
  • Technical training and/or experience in a manufacturing plant
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Learn to operate all equipment associated with the job.
  • Actively practices and promotes safety.
  • Must be exemplary performance in attitude, attendance, and ability.
  • Committed to continuous improvement in products, services, and processes.
