Available Position:

Lea+Elliott is seeking a qualified candidate in the Los Angeles area to oversee airport improvement projects on behalf of the Client. Projects include airfields, terminals, roadways, utility improvements and IT infrastructure improvements. The candidate shall have proficient written and oral communication skills, understand project interdependencies and how to quickly identify and effectively communicate project related issues on medium to large scale capital projects.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess relevant experience in Project Management and / or Program Management and a B.S. degree. An engineering degree (Civil, Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical) is preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aviation industry. High proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically excel and higher excel / database functions. Experience in Project Controls (cost estimating, scheduling) for long-term capital programs including performing “what-if” analysis. Understanding of project risk, change management, cost escalation, budget tracking, and schedule/escalation calculations. Experience in creation o client presentation products which may include, but is not limited to, Power Point, graphics (charts, datasets, etc.), and reports. Applicants must have a willingness to learn and engage in multiple disciplines, work as part of a team, and balance multiple assignments as necessary to achieve project goals. Excellent quantitative and analytical skills. Excellent communication and writing skills – a writing sample will be required during the interview process.

Desired Qualifications: Experience with Project Management and Information System (PMIS) – Ex: P6, or other PM software Strong Microsoft 365 and cloud utilization (Power BI, Excel) Experience working in a consulting environment is a plus. Experience working in a Client’s office is a plus. Should the applicant have an engineering degree, a PE license/FE certification is preferred. Other certifications, such as PMP, are a plus. Specialized experience with tenant improvements, airport operations is a plus. Leadership skills, detail-oriented, problem solving, initiative and team player experienced with giving and receiving feedback. Experience in both planning and construction phases is a plus.
