Job Description Job Description Director of Operations Start-up furniture manufacturer recently opened an operation in the Chicago suburbs and is searching for a Director of Operations to oversee operations, distribution and the sales departmentsThis facility assembles and distributes furniture and related products to retailers throughout the MidwestMust have experience working in a furniture, cabinets, or very similar distribution / manufacturing environments.Local candidates onlyBenefits: 401K matchWork-life balanceUnlimited growth potentialOpportunity to work for a start-up and be involved with growing the sales, organize, setup and run the warehouseSalary range is based on experience and education and ranges from 100K 120KResponsibilities: This position will manage 2 direct reports (Sales Manager & Warehouse Manager) with 20+ indirect reportsBuild a high-performance sales team that will focus on selling to wholesalers throughout the MidwestNew business development, seek out new business and look at creative ways to expand the marketOversee the operations team and look for ways to improve processesEnsure productivity, facility safety, sales and distribution activities while working in conjunction with the ownersEstablish a culture of engagement by hands-on coaching, directing and leading employeesRequirements : BA/BS/AAS degree is preferred, ideally in Operations Management, Business Management or similar4+ years of leadership experience overseeing an operations and or sales departmentMust have experience working in a furniture, cabinets, or very similar environmentAble to train, develop and manage a team of employeesExperience using ERP, WMS, TMS and or MS office systems; any implementation experience is preferredGreat at problem-solving, multi-tasking and creative a positive culture with teamwork and developmentMust be capable of working in a fast-paced environment on an off shiftBi-lingual English / Chinese Mandarin is preferred#ZRCompany Description The team at JSK Recruiting, Inc. prides itself on providing boutique-level services combined with the resources of a larger recruiting firm.
