Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity for candidates who are passionate about mechanical systems and construction methods and are eager to travel extensively to job sites nationwide. As an Estimator, you will be at the forefront of project planning, responsible for reading and interpreting construction drawings, performing detailed take-offs, and accurately calculating costs for HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret Construction Drawings: Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents with precision.
  • Detailed Take-Offs: Perform meticulous take-offs and cost calculations to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Travel: Travel extensively to job sites across the country to gather data and oversee project scopes.
  • Task Management: Prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and project managers to deliver successful project outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Estimator Experience: Proven track record as an Estimator in the mechanical contracting industry.
  • Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate cost calculations.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel extensively to various job sites nationwide.
Skills
  • Drawing Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction drawings.
  • Accurate Cost Calculations: Ability to perform detailed take-offs and cost calculations with high accuracy.
  • Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills to manage time and tasks efficiently.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively for on-site project assessments.
