Current OpeningDaybrook's Empire, LA facility is seekingan experienced Material Handler. Loadsand unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes handtrucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to movematerial to and from trucks, barges, and rail cars within the productionfacility.Responsibilities Identifying correct product for packaging or loadingSafe use of industrial equipment to facilitate transferof material to locations as directedAssist with bagging material for transport as requiredby customer order Verify all bags are stamped with the correct lotnumbers before loading or moving Verify the weight is correct on each skid Adhere toshipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures Comply with laws,regulations, and standards Report shipmentdata such as weight, charges, and damages to supervisor AbilitiesPays close attention to detail. Demonstrates familiarity with site safety precautions. Exhibits solid time management skills. Demonstrates ability to operate forklifts and other similar equipment. Can respond quickly and calmly to emergency requests. Works well with a team. Communicates clearly and effectively with others to describe the problem and solution involved in particular maintenance requests.
