Notify appropriate staff for major repairs. - Demonstrate proficiency in reprocessing and maintenance of endoscopes and other endoscopic equipment per high-level disinfection policy and manufacturer instructions. - Maintain scope washers and washer adapters. - Check detergent levels and effectiveness of disinfectant per policy. - Communicate effectively regarding scope repairs, loaners, supplies, and QI information by maintaining documentation of all actions. - Accurately record data in appropriate logs. - Interact with equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, demonstrating thorough knowledge of instrument and equipment instructions for use. - Comply with PPE policies and maintain supplies needed for cleaning and reprocessing.
