Plant Manager

Growing Materials Company in the Chico, TXarea has a need for a PlantManager. This is a direct hire opening with full benefits and relocation.This position will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant production.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESDirect, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the production to ensure quality and meet monthly production goalsOversee and schedule staff to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee PTO, overtime assignment, and back-up for absent employees, ensuring performance in accordance with company policies and proceduresCollect, analyze, and report production documents on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to Plant ManagerDevelop, write, and control documentation related to work instruction, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or any other pertinent documentation related to the production departmentRecommend capital improvements and other process improvements as neededDevelop corrective and preventative actionsWork closely with the Plant Manager to complete any production related issues at the facilitiesRecommend or initiate personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and corrective/attendance counselingAssist Plant Manager and Human Resources to resolve personnel problems, complaints or grievancesAccurately report findings to the necessary personnel and complete any necessary documentationConduct staff performance reviewsCounsel and train staff about work related-issues and assist them to correct job-skill deficienciesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in a related field is required or substitution of the following experience5 years of experience in a manufacturing, mining, or aggregate environment3 years of management experience with a proven record of managing multiple people and projects at the same time, while maintaining the highest level of production, preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
