Estimator / Project Manager

Preconstruction and estimating through project management and closeout. Maintain client relationships to keep estimating pipeline and production backlog full while managing jobs through completion, monitoring key performance metrics and delivering to meet or exceed expectations.
To be successful in this role, you must:
Perform quality take offs and reviews of plans and specifications
Maintain organized records of take offs, bid information, etc.
Review and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes, negotiating fair and accurate pricing
Create and manage change orders
Work with general contractors, landscape architects, and project architects to bring projects into budget
Maintain continued dialogue (follow-up) with General Contractors / project owners after bids are submitted
Assist with writing technical proposals
Manage estimates, delivering on-time and ensuring healthy backlog
Create and submit project submittal package
Project Management:
Management of weekly and daily production schedule
Build project schedules (GANTT charts), communicate timelines with superintendents and Operations Manager
Work together with field management to complete job on time, on budget, and up to quality standards
Work with Operations Team to ensure daily labor and equipment management (including review of Aspire schedule, MPSS, etc.)
Work with Operations Team to forecast labor and equipment needs
Job Cost Review and Correction of process
Order and manage materials and rental equipment (margin aggression)
Work closely with field management to ensure materials are ordered and delivered in a timeline manner
Pre-construction onsite review with superintendents
Sub-contractor coordination and scheduling
Maintain extraordinary communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Subcontract review (including continuing education)
Subcontractor (subcontract) management (including accurate and thorough purchase orders, etc.)
Assist field management with quality control
Participate in on-site meetings, as required
Submitting pay apps
Qualifications
4-year degree in construction management, landscape architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required
5+ years of relevant work experience in a project management or supervisory role
A strong understanding of construction concepts timelines
A strong understanding of landscape and construction materials
Proficient in the use of computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft programs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
