YOUR DAY AS TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER

As a Technical Sales Manager in the vacuum coating industry, your day starts with strategizing on how to generate new business and foster growth in existing accounts within your assigned markets. You will map out plans to develop new markets and attract new customers to expand the reach of our products. By setting ambitious sales objectives, you will drive towards achieving and exceeding targets. Your role also involves developing and presenting compelling proposals to potential customers, showcasing the value and innovation our products bring to the table.

Additionally, you will deliver basic technical training to clients, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to maximize the benefits of our solutions. Your ability to effectively communicate customer feedback to our SCI team will be crucial in refining our offerings. You will provide regular sales forecasts to our sales leadership, helping them make informed decisions to steer the business in the right direction.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER
  • 4-year degree in engineering, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the industry of vacuum coating equipment, architectural glass, solar, semiconductor, or display markets
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in direct, customer-facing sales
  • Knowledge of rotary magnetron sputtering processes
  • Experience with vacuum coating equipment and design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make effective presentations, work within teams, lead others, and travel up to 50%

Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
