Die Setter

Die Setter - Elkton, MI.
90-day Contract-to-Hire position
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour (+ shift premium, $0.60 for 2nd shift, $0.75 for 3rd shift)

Available Shifts:
First Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work may be required)
Second Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday - Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work may be required)
Third Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am Monday - Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work may be required)

The Die Setter will:

• Start machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances
• Coordinate and pre-stage all necessary items for die change
• Manually load parts or blanks into machine and place parts into inventory baskets
• Load coils and feeds material into die where applicable using a forklift and/or crane
• Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel
• Set up and program new jobs on the initial run. Fill out proper paperwork and turn into Supervisor
• Monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to supervisor or maintenance

Required Skills of the Die Setter:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Good mechanical knowledge
• Good math skills
• Machine troubleshooting skills
