Millwork Shop Custodial Maintenance PositionJOB DESCRIPTION:The custodial position keeps the millwork shop clean overall by sweeping, wiping, and vacuuming necessary areas, floors, and machines. This person performs a variety of general duties related to maintenance, clean up, and upkeep of the millwork shop and the surrounding outside grounds. Assists in preparations and tear down of special events, as well assistance with landscaping tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Removes litter, debris, and fluids from building floors and surrounding outside property. Maintain restrooms are in a clean and orderly manner. Cleans sidewalks of snow, salt, debris, and weeds. Empties trash throughout the shop and outside of the building daily. Scoop cigarette cans as needed. Clean saws and other machinery on a scheduled rotation. Upkeep on floors and cobweb removal throughout the shop. Keeps the outside grounds in a respectable manner. Pulls weeds, assists with flower beds, mulching and edging. Ensure cleaning cabinets stay stocked with materials. Stock dispensers as needed. Additional cleaning requests as needed. REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of custodial methods and maintenance.High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license.Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time on concrete surfaces.Ability to bend, kneel, carry 25+ pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Large wood millwork shop with concrete floor. Outside and inside work in various temperatures. Flexible hours for the right candidate: day, night, or midday shift; part-time or full-time. part time role: 20-30 hoursfull time: 40 hours per week
