DescriptionJOB PURPOSE:
Processes patient information through the Aesthetics information software system, answers incoming telephone calls and responds to requests for information. Handles incoming and outgoing patients, and all payments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet patients and other visitors, determines nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Check patients in upon arrival and enters or updates patient information into computer software.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation, including date of birth, is completed and signed off prior to receiving services.
- Call and/or complete pre-service screenings for preexisting conditions, contraindications and ensure appropriate pre-treatment requirements have been reviewed for all patients/clients.
- Oversee that all patient demographics, admissions forms, and patient medical information has been entered into the computer software.
- Review charts to answer patient inquiries.
- Make sure all charges and payments have been applied accordingly.
- Check out patients, take payments for services, and issue receipts.
- Maintain careful account of any money received and balance cash deposits as necessary.
- Schedule patient visits in accordance with scheduling rules.
- Call, as necessary, to remind patients of upcoming appointments or to reschedule appointments.
- Treat patients with care and compassion.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, determine nature of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
- Perform other duties as needed, such as light dusting, laundry, restocking products and supplies in treatment rooms, etc.
- Follow the mission and vision statement of FHCSO.
- Participate in team meetings relevant to admissions.
- Participate in designated activities and projects for PCMH as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Perform or assist subordinates in performing duties.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Aesthetics office/med spa experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills needed. Must become proficient in aesthetics software.
- Must be able to multi-task and work under fast-paced conditions.
