Job Summary

The Clinical Informatics Analyst at Riverview Health,is responsible for developing and delivering training, providing ongoing provider / end user support and oversight for project implementation, and optimizing applications and clinical systems. This position will analyze current EHR usage for efficiency and accuracyto promote optimization of the software and support change in those applications. Potential to work with affiliate builder to build for one application and maintain functionality with break/fix or upgrades and changes. Supports management with project planning, risk assessment, project tracking.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate and assist IS in the planning, organizing, and training of application upgrades and assist in troubleshooting of the hospital's software applications and EHR.Facilitate and lead collaboration between Information Systems Department, providers, and our Epic Community Connect partners.Develop and approve training education and optimization guides for users.Lead the IS related portion of onboarding employed providers, hospitalists ED providers and other medical staff.Continuous customer service with end users on troubleshooting, upgrades, and changes.Provider and clinical user customizations for streamlining efficiency.Use nursing process to guide implementation support of implemented components to EHR.Collaborate with leadership in discovery of documentation gaps and epic workflow proficiencies.Coordinate and lead optimization initiatives.Coordinate reporting and assist end users in gathering information from EHR and generate reports per request.Build needed components in EPIC as assigned by projects.Provide project planning support, manage coordination for EHR upgrade initiatives.Utilize clinical policy and procedures to evaluate potential software integrations and updates.Test and evaluate the compatibility and integration of new systems with existing infrastructure and applications.Utilize company policy and procedures to evaluate new systems integrations.Other duties as assigned.Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's DegreePreferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare field and education, certification, or experience in IT/IS, health informatics, Epic or extensive EHR experience. 3-5yrs Clinical experience or hospital / clinic related work experience.Experience Requirements

Minimum: One (1) year of experience in healthcare field or data systems supporting an electronic health record and hospital information systems, including software customization, system administration, EHR training, super-user / end-user support.Preferred: Two (2) or more years' experience supporting EPIC Applications that includes training delivery and certification or credentialed in ASAP, Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Cadance, Orders, or OpTime. Familiar with HIPPA, HIE, Patient Consent/Authorization, and other federal and state guidelines surrounding data protection and confidentiality.License/Certification Requirements

Minimum:

Licensed or certified in area of training and expertise (example:Registered Nurse valid to practice in the state of Indiana)EPIC credential in at least one assigned application
