Who you are:

As a Patient Service Representative in our Infusion Services Department for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you will play a vital role in supporting patients and ensuring smooth operations within our facility. You have a knack for excellent customer service, and your warm persona makes patients feel at ease.

What you'll do:
  • Responsible for greeting visitors to the department or via telephone, providing excellent customer service to all physicians, patients, physician offices and general public requiring services or information.
  • Photocopy or scan and inputs patient demographic information, insurance data and all other information into the EMR and hospital systems as appropriate.
  • Pay close attention to detail while coordinating and confirming accurate orders, authorization and insurance eligibility for imaging procedures as needed. Contact referring physician offices for information and documents pertinent to the scheduled procedure.
  • Interact with patients regarding complaints for effective and immediate response and resolution. Referring to Office Coordinator as appropriate.


Qualifications

What you'll bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of related work experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, knowledge of related software including telephone usage.
  • Knowledge of departmental and hospital confidentiality policies pertinent to patient information and hospital data.
  • Ability to communicate well with others and maintain sensitivity to patient concerns while working with other members of the Health Care Team, including nurses, physicians, etc., and to provide the best in comfort, caring and curing.
