Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Neuro Stroke/Surgical Telemetry Number of positions: 8Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: 03/10/2024Hourly pay: $41.91Daily per diem: $13.75 per hourOT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $1,508.76JOB DESCRIPTIONDepartment: Neuro Stroke/Surgical StepdownShift Timings: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours, Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hours shift.Per Week: 36 Hours30 bed neuro stroke/surgical step-down unit work at least every other weekend-weekend sick calls will be made up the following weekendRoles & ResponsibilitiesImplements and monitors patient care plans.Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Minimum QualificationsBLS, ACLS, flu EKG trach/vent experience a mustChest tube experience a mustDialysis experience preferred step down ratio-1:3, 1:4, tele ratio 1:5QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current RN Neuro/Stroke Surgical Telemetry experience Graduate from a fully accredited RN programActive unencumbered Illinois RN state license One year of Epic experience Requirements•COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.ABOUT HEALTHCARE STAFFING PLUSHealthcare Staffing Plus is a US based national per diem, local contract, and locum tenens agency.
