{{jcity}}{{jstate}}Posting LocationFunctional GroupHuman ResourcesJob TitleJob DescriptionAs a joint venture contractor for the Alaska Radar System, ARCTEC Alaska supports the US Air Force (USAF) and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) by providing 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week airspace surveillance and early attack warning for over 3.3 million square nautical miles spatially monitored. ARCTEC Alaska maintains tactical radio communications, and meteorological/navigational aids to both military and civilian aircraft. Although ARCTECs primary mission is radar equipment and tactical radio capabilities, additional services include maintenance of 47,000 ft. of runways and over 50 miles of roads, as well as maintenance of fuel systems 139 structures/facilities and 46 prime power and emergency power generation systems including all major overhauls.Purpose of Position:Primary Responsibilities : Entry into the HR database and related systems are maintained accurately and timely, assists in updating and maintaining database of employee contact informationFiling both electronically and in the HR Database employee records, keeping up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.Enters training data into database and assists in maintaining training database.Assists in preparing employee information to external agencies as necessary for processing Employment Verification, Pension administration, and Unemployment claims.Participates in administrative staff and management meetings, assists with meetings, creates meeting packets, take notes and meeting minutes, types and distributes meeting minutes. Schedules, tracks, and coordinates travel plans, and other travel arrangements of managers and employees as needed.Assists with scheduling, planning, and coordinating company hosted events. Orders flowers and cards for employees for events such as, but not limited to, illness, death in family, births, and graduation.Does data entry for Site Arrival Requests and Site Arrival Notices for third party and employee travel. Works closely with the contracting SAR Office and the Human Resources Generalist for accuracy and completeness. Review bed count to ensure ARCTEC Long Range Radar Sites (LRRS) can accommodate the site visitors. Work with the Human Resources Generalist and the Contracting Manager for Contracting Officers Prior Approval (COPA), and Purchase Order (PO).Assist in posting job bids in accordance with CBA guidelines, collaborates, closely with HR Manager and HR Generalist.Assist in coordinating employee medical appointments with Company medical provider, reviewing and updating database of completed and employee deficiencies and keep HR Manager apprised.Assists in completing all new hire paperwork and pre-employment requirements.Assist in team members timecards on FMLA, Workers Compensation and Medical on a weekly basis.Filing both electronically and in the HR Database employee records, keeping up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirementsSecondary Responsibilities :Works cooperatively and effectively with managers, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
