Harmon, Inc.You will be responsible for managing and driving continuous improvement in Harmon's Quality Assurance and Quality Control Process. This will optimize and standardize Harmon Manufacturing's current QA/QC plan across the facilities, improving upon the talent and depth of our site quality teams, and building a continuous improvement culture for Quality throughout each Project's lifecycle cross functionally between Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. This position reports to the Director, Manufacturing Excellence located in Dallas Texas. POSITION DESCRIPTIONYour contributions to the teamPartner with Director of Manufacturing Excellence and Plant Managers to lead quality assurance and controls through entire project lifecycle.Optimize current QA/QC plan and standardizationManage team of QC Leads/Techs for mfg. facilitiesDevelop and conduct internal and external audit processes to identify and address non-conformances.Build QA/QC into Apogee Management System (AMS) through KPI standardization, tier meeting structure, training, and development of control plans.Partner and coordinate with Engineering & Operations to improve upon; Revision Control; Harmon Engineering Standards; Deviation Control; Vendor Quality; Escalation Process; and Clear Communication Protocols.EXPERIENCEWhat you need to be successful Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in relevant engineering degree is preferred7-10 years of experience in quality managementExperience in manufacturing and construction (Preferably in glazing)Continuous Improvement experience - Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt PreferredPrevious experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs & CAD.KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strengths that are important to Harmon Collaborate: Encourage collaboration with your peers and leadersDo the right thing: Deliver excellence, treat each other with respectValue a balanced life: Reward each other's contributions and cultivate a welcoming environmentFocus on results: Maintain a strong desire to execute through customer focus and attention to detailBe flexible: Adjust quickly and effectively to shifts in business and project needsAttain clarity and alignment: Ensure you have clarity and alignment before moving forwardStrengths that are important for your roleRisk Management: The ability to identify potential risks, insights into the challenges, pitfalls, and strategies necessary for successful executionLeadership: Engage and motivate direct reports, coworkers, peers, and leaders to set clear expectationsProblem Solving: Make decisions based on information provided and enhance others' problem-solving capacityCI/Lean Expertise: Advanced proficiency with CI techniques/principles; Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methods, 5S, leader standard work development methodsChange Management: Operate within a team environment, and highly dynamic situations, by building consensus through collaborationTravel: Ability to travel 50-70% of the time to support three manufacturing plant locations in the US and Canada: Dallas, Cincinnati, and Toronto Skilled in CAD technologies.
