Requirements: Successful Contractors will ensure that the projects made in-house or outsourced are compliant with the contract and system requirements. They will also ensure that requirements and interfaces are correctly managed according to the clients processes. Ensure identification and correct allocation of structural civil works system requirements (contract and derived ones) Ensure the identification and resolution of the technical Interfaces between civil works, technological

Systems/subsystems,

and third parties. Ensure the application of quality procedures for the emissions of the documents at every stage of the design. Ensure there are no risks not assessed concerning the safety of the works designed and compared to budgeted costs; Ensure the verification of the interface alignment and that each step is managed and properly addressed; Ensure the identification of critical issues in the development of the project and propose mitigation actions; Identify and manage Civil Work Interface with civil contractors; The use of BIM for interface definition and management, as part of the project delivery strategy according to the Engineering Management Plan. Managing a structural engineering firm in order to get the deliverables timely completed, verified, and submitted to the client Be the point of contact between Hitachi and the Client stakeholders for all civil and structural matters Promptly provide solutions to the construction team when site requests or modifications are necessary to execute the civil/structural work. Qualifications:

Required Skills/ Knowledge Must have 5 to 10 years of experience in Structural Civil Works in the Railway Engineering context, especially developed in the area of

Design/Commissioning

and

Requirement/Interface

management. Additional expertise in the railways context is considered a plus. Operative competencies Structural Civil Works in railway context (buildings, viaducts, tunnels, etc.): design, installation, operation, and maintenance Principle of Railway Trackworks systems: design, installation, operation and maintenance Sub-Contractors selection; Purchase Technical Specification (PTS) preparation according to contract needs; Technical support for contract matters; Requirements and Interfaces

and management; Familiar with the Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools, implemented in BIM (Building Information Modelling) context, using also a specific Common Data Environment (CDE). Design management of contractors and sub-contractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control; Full cycle experience also in construction and test & commissioning phases. Software Basic experience in BIM context in accordance with ISO 19650. Common Structural software and civil works design software. Soft Skills Team working Co-operative approach Mobility Mindset Education Structural Civil Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background NOTE Must be willing to apply for the SSI Clearance required to work on the project. A valid Drivers License or Passport is required. In accordance with the DOTs FRA and FTA programs, the clients substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.
